Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist's Palette
This past December I found myself with a small collection of Sephora GC's at my disposal thanks to my sister and husband's holiday generosity. I figured it was the best time to treat myself to something that I might not typically buy for myself and to try something new out. That meant no restocking my MVP's or buying anything that I'd previously purchased.

I had spent A LOT of time in Sephora in December so I had a pretty good idea of my options and there was nothing that had me rushing out to face the holiday crowds, but I inevitably found myself in my local Sephora on December 27th none the less. *Raises hand* "Hi, my name is Laura and I'm a Sephoraholic."
I had been eyeing the Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist's Palette online for about a month prior to my visit on the 27th but the palette was never out/available on my previous visits. By some stroke of luck it was available and out on this visit and I had the opportunity to finally test out and play with it. *insert various happy emojis here*

I was hooked from my very first online view of this palette and I desperately hoped it would be everything I had hoped for it to be but I have learnt that products can often appear very different online than they do in-person. My first impression was that the images I had viewed/coveted online were extremely accurate which pleased me greatly. I swatched a few of my favourite colours and was immediately blown away by not only the pigmentation of the shadows but also their soft luxurious velvety texture. I was SOLD!

I've had this palette now for close to two months and it has become my number one go to eye shadow palette. The colours are vivid and long lasting with minimal to no fall out. There is an equal combination of six warm and six cool shades in three textures. Matte (Espresso Bean - Warm, Fresco - Warm, Plum Smoke - Cool, Truffle - Warm, Vanilla Nuts - Warm, Violet Ink - Cool) , luster (African Violet - Cool, Bamboo - Warm), and sateen shades (Guava - Cool, Kir Royal - Cool, Primrose - Warm, Sparkling Dew - Cool) represented in this beautiful palette.

The shades blend well, are long wear (especially when paired with an eye shadow primer), and are easily built up for more intense and dramatic eye looks.

The exterior casing, although gorgeous, leaves something to be desired. If you have any product on your hands *ANY* it will permanently trap itself in the textured finish and I have yet to find a way to restore my exterior casing to its former glory. The interior features a large mirror for on the go application or touch ups. It can also easily fit into almost any clutch or evening bag thanks to its compact design.

Here's my final verdict:
Laura Mercier Eye Art Artisit's Palette
Cannot live without!
